is the chairman of the Energy@home
Demo & Reference Implementation Working Group.
Riccardo has been with Istituto
Superiore Mario Boella since
2007. He currently leads a research unit in the Pervasive
Technologies Research Area, dealing with Internet of Things
(IoT) services and IoT-supported processes. With his team, he is actively involved
in a number of EU- and industry-funded research projects where IoT technologies
are applied to various domains and especially to energy-related domains e.g.
Smart Grid, Home/Building Automation, etc. His research interests are centered
on pervasive and context-aware systems, with focus on tools and technologies to
support, manage and develop services based on the Internet of Things (IoT)
paradigm. Such technologies include development-support tools, M2M technologies
and OSGi-based middleware and architectures to ease interoperability among
heterogeneous systems. Riccardo holds a double M.S. degree in
telecommunications engineering from the Politecnico di Torino and the Institut
National Polytechnique de Grenoble, France and is currently enrolled in a PhD
program with the DET
department of
Politecnico di Torino.
